JD grew up in a small farming community in Sampson County… Autryville, NC. He
grew up in a loving, Christian home with a wonderful family and great family
values. He acquired a solid foundation (head knowledge) about God, the Bible,
and Jesus while growing up and attending church. JD however never did experience
a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (heart knowledge) and at the age of 16
he began to turn to the world to find satisfaction and joy in his life. He lived
and served the gods ‘me-myself and I’ experiencing the world through the lust of
the eyes (materialism/wants), the lust of the flesh (desire for pleasure) and
the pride of life (power/prestige/it’s all about me). After 20 years of living
‘for the world’, having never found ‘true’ joy and satisfaction; God revealed to
JD what he had been missing through some very difficult times in his life. He
discovered he needed something that the world could not offer… he needed that
heart relationship with Jesus Christ. JD surrendered his life to Jesus Christ on
Feb.15th, 1998 and found the joy, satisfaction, and peace that he had longed to
find… the void and ‘hole’ in his heart was filled the only way it can be filled…
with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ “rocked” his world and he can “rock” yours too
if you’ll only let him. Jesus really is the Truth… the Life… and the Way. (John
14:6)
JD is married to Kellie and they attend Freedom Biker Church in Johnston County.
They have three children, one grand baby and a Bulldog named ‘Bubba”.
